We were engaged by Shorthand Studio to develop a business name for Newcastle-based accounting firm being formed through the merger of two existing businesses.
The final concept works on several levels. Anova comes from the Latin term for 'new' (novus, nova), and is suggestive of freshness, growth and development. It also refers to a statistical method for the analysis of variance in which one looks at the variance in a data set and divides it into systematic and random factors. A tagline, 'Better Together', ties the personality traits and values of the firm together nicely, with a subtle nod to the strength of the merger.
